United StatesWhat is so amazing about this design is how illustrata took a video game character’s design (Happy Mask Salesman) and expounded upon it to create something that references many iconic video games. Most of the iconic video game masks can be found in this design (like Vega’s mask from street fighter or Shy Guy’s mask from the Mario series). What takes the cake is how even after looking at this poster many different times, it still surprises me what masks I end up finding that I didn’t realize was there before. For example, I didn’t realize Majora’s Mask was located in this poster. That is the test of a truly masterful work of art, being able to find something different each time you look at it.
